This Saturday, learn to repurpose common household items into clever little notebooks at my next Crafting Community class.
The mini journals pictured here are made from: scrapbooking paper, brown paper bag, a map of Texas and envelopes, graham cracker box, a greeting card, and gift wrap (lying open). Just think of all the things lying around your home/office that you can upcycle into a fun notebook! You’ll be digging through your recycling bin for journal materials when you get home. Make one to keep track of your favorite wines, make a summer reading list, or add envelopes and collect memories from your summer travels.
We’ll have a studio to ourselves at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, NY. Stop in anything between 2-4 PM on this Saturday, July 11th, create a journal or two, have a cookie, and meet other local crafters. No crafting skills required. I’ll be teaching this special project just once, so don’t miss out!
Museum admission is $6 with discounts for students and seniors. It includes the Crafting Community class and materials, exhibits, a children’s craft project (wild creature masks!), parking and more. Make an afternoon of it and check out Adrien Broom’s hauntingly beautiful fairytale exhibit.
